BOONCART PRIVACY & COOKIE POLICY
Disclaimer: In case of any discrepancy or difference, the English version shall prevail.
Booncart Private Limited (“Booncart”, “we”, “us”, “our”) values the trust you place in us and is committed to safeguarding your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, store, disclose, and protect your personal data when you use our website, mobile application, or any other digital interface (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using our Platform, providing information, or availing any of our services, you expressly consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use, and applicable product-specific terms and conditions. If you do not agree with the practices described in this Privacy Policy, please refrain from accessing or using our Platform.
You may browse portions of the Platform without submitting personal data; however, certain features, including placing orders, creating an account, and interacting with sellers, require the submission of identifiable information. Booncart operates exclusively within India, and your data will be processed and stored within India in accordance with applicable laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the principles underlying the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).
Collection of Your Information
When you engage with our Platform, we collect and store information that you voluntarily provide or that is automatically collected during your interactions. This includes information such as your name, mobile number, email address, delivery and billing addresses, gender, date of birth, payment instrument details, and identity verification documents such as PAN, Aadhaar, GST details, or other KYC-related information. If you participate in any promotional activities, referral programs, surveys, or customer support interactions, the information you share in those contexts may also be stored.
We also collect information relating to your browsing behaviour, preferences, interests, purchase history, return and refund patterns, and interactions with sellers. This includes data such as the URL you visited before accessing our Platform, the URL you visit after leaving, your IP address, device identifiers, browser details, and the nature of your interactions with our pages and features. These insights help us understand customer segments, detect fraud, identify suspicious account activity, and personalise your experience.
Booncart, as a marketplace, additionally collects transactional information such as order details, payment attempts, repeated RTO (Return-to-Origin) incidents, COD refusal patterns, dispute evidence (including unboxing videos and photographs), and communication exchanged with sellers for the purpose of customer safety and platform integrity.
Furthermore, if you use features such as chat, voice search, image-based search, or customer feedback modules, we may collect any information that you voluntarily share within those interactions. If you contact us through email, chat, social media, or phone, we may retain the content of your communication for troubleshooting, internal analysis, and dispute resolution.
We also use cookies, pixels, and tracking tools to understand usage patterns, remember preferences, enable faster checkouts, secure sessions, and measure the effectiveness of advertising. Booncart displays a cookie-consent banner to inform users of cookie usage and provide choices relating to acceptance, management, or disabling of cookies.
Use of Demographic, Profile and Other Data
We use your personal data to process and fulfil orders, deliver products, manage payments, verify transactions, provide customer support, prevent fraudulent activity, and ensure a secure user experience. The information helps us enhance Platform functionality, personalise product recommendations, improve seller performance, streamline returns and refunds, and optimise logistics. It also enables us to communicate with you regarding your orders, services, promotional offers, and transactional updates.
We analyse aggregated demographic information to understand consumer trends and preferences in order to improve product offerings, marketplace efficiency, and user experience. Your device and network data help diagnose issues, track user movement within the Platform, and identify security vulnerabilities or fraudulent behaviour. In limited circumstances, and only with your express consent, we may request access to SMS for OTP auto-reading, camera and photos for KYC or return evidence, location information for delivery optimisation, and contact information for referral-based features. You may withdraw permissions at any time, though this may limit access to certain Platform functionalities.
Booncart also uses automated systems, including AI-enabled mechanisms, to detect fraud, identify high-risk orders, monitor suspicious patterns, personalise recommendation algorithms, and enhance operational security. These automated tools support decision-making but do not replace human intervention in cases where a user requests manual review or where the law mandates such review.

The Platform uses cookies to improve user experience by analysing traffic patterns, remembering login sessions, and enabling customised features. Cookies do not contain personally identifiable information unless voluntarily provided by you. You may disable cookies through browser settings; however, doing so may affect certain functionalities. Any misuse of customer information constitutes a breach of Booncart’s policies and may result in penalties, suspension, and legal action.
We may also share information with business partners for offering services, improving customer experience, and customising aspects of the user journey such as checkout preferences or product recommendations. These partners may rely on their own privacy policies, and we encourage users to review them before sharing information.
We may disclose your personal data if required to do so under law, in compliance with court orders, subpoenas, regulatory directives, or in good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to enforce our Terms of Use or protect the rights, property, or safety of Booncart, its users, or the public. In the event of merger, acquisition, corporate restructuring, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the new entity in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Data may be retained for longer durations for fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of legal rights. Anonymised data may be stored indefinitely for research and analytical purposes.
Your Rights
You may access, update, correct, or delete certain personal data through your account settings. You may write to us to request deletion of specific information or withdrawal of consent. Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to such withdrawal; however, it may restrict access to certain services.
